writing my first solo piece today and hopefully recording it. Its a blues song based on past relationships I have had. It is pretty much a song that will get all the angst I feel still out of me, and finally move on. One day I will write happy songs about my current boyfriend, but this is something I must do before that. Travis Rohrer I owe you music, cause you are my muse!!!

Despite Anne Hathaway being truly horrendous for the part of Fantine, the trailer still gave me goosebumps. Good sign. I’m optimistic. Plus, I trust Tom Hooper.
Anne Hathaway prove me wrong….

A Swan Song (For Nina) - Clint Mansell and Pytor Tchaikovsky
I love the soundtrack for Black Swan - obviously Tchaikovsky’s score for this ballet is breathtakingly beautiful, but Clint Mansell’s interpretation and re-scoring for the movie is incredibly interesting musically. The way the piano strips down the Swan Lake theme to its bare beats before fully realising it and only very reluctantly allowing the chords to resolve while throwing in a few dischordant notes and smashing glass before trailing out on a very unsettling bit of warped strings … creepy, and completely evocative of the film.
